PIAC is a proud member of ISAPS

In November last year Dr Sanguan Kunaporn was elected of the President of ISAPS (please see blog posted on the 24th November). ISAPS is the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery representing 1,900 of the world’s leading board of certified aesthetic plastic surgeons in 90 countries. They provide international guidelines for clients travelling for plastic surgery procedures. These are some of their guidelines:

ISAPS reminds you that all surgery carries risk. Complications can and do happen. To ensure that your aesthetic surgery experience is safe and successful, you need to learn as much about your procedure beforehand. There are 3 factors which will influence your safety and the outcome of your procedure:

• You – the patient – and your general health (you must fully disclose your medical history including allergies, medications and previous operations so that your Surgeon can assess the risk and make appropriate decisions (make sure that you have filled out the online registration when making a booking with PIAC, and be honest).

• The procedure that you choose: Make sure that you are fully informed of the surgery you are choosing, ask questions and do research before the time (PIAC has full time co-ordinator staff that will answer any questions you have and provide you with the information regarding your surgery).

• The surgeon you choose: the qualifications and technical skills of the surgeon you choose play an extremely important role, as does the facility where the operation takes place. At PIAC you will have your surgery in an International Hospital with world class equipment and surgeons, international staff and round the clock care).

All the surgeons at PIAC are on the board of certified plastic surgeons which operate in a facility which has been inspected and certified.
